      This reissue features a cat living in Rome during the reign of Nero. When barbarians sack the city, Miranda has to find a way to get her daughter to safety and ends up leading all the homeless cats to the Colosseum. She is named Miranda the Great, Queen of the Colosseum. This pseudo-legend is engaging, and the black-and-white illustrations add to the enjoyment.
